A full day’s feltmaking will enable you to learn the basic technique in the morning, making a flat piece of felt using sheeps’ fleece, olive oil soap & water, experimenting with colour and texture using lots of different fibres and threads.
In the afternoon we will make a 3D item using a resist technique. You can make a decorative bowl, a hotwater bottle cover, a beret, a tablet-case or a clutch bag.
For those who have done some feltmaking before, there is the opportunity to learn more complex techniques to give different effects including transfer designs, applique, shibori tyeing for textural effects. Make a work of art to take home! Keep an eye out for different techniques in the workshop list to the right, as I update it regularly. If you don’t see what you want on the list, email or ring me and ask me to set a date.
Full day in my studio includes all materials, light lunch & refreshments
£60.00 from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm

Hi Carol,
Are you running any felt making workshops this year?
Joe
Sorry for late reply Joe, have been visiting daughter in America and not paying attention to website! I’m taking a break from running Workshops in order to spend a bit of time developing my own work, plus some new workshops too. Workshops will resume later in the year. I can add you to my mailing list if you’d like, via email, so that you receive news on Workshops as soon as I set the dates. Thank you for your interest. Carol x
hi there, I want to do one of this workshops! when is the next one?
Hi Cindy, I’m afraid I’m not running any Workshops at the moment as I’m involved in a couple of art projects which are taking up all my time. Not sure when I will be getting back to it, but I’m having a lot of requests, so will aim for the Autumn. Thank you for your interest xx
